Besides making graphics for T-shirts, my first business was and is knitting boutique purses. I still do, and have added purse hooks recently. I taught myself how to knit 6 years ago during a tough pregnancy, which left me on bed rest. I knitted everything and anything. I can write and draft patterns. Just like other businesses, the economy hit hard this year. Many times I wanted to give up, despite advertising everywhere I could. Sometimes I felt like I'm wasting my time. Then something out of the blue happened. Just for hell of it I joined a purse designer's group. To my surprise, they accepted me and 2 days later I was contacted by a handbag designer who wants me to collaborate with her on her Knit Couture Handbag line. So I am working with her. We really click, so I am hopeful that might lead to future opportunities.

A great deal of what we do as artists appears to be un~ noticed...but I think it is all about finding the right audience...I hope this new venture will help others see how wonderfully creative and talented you are....
I do ever so love my purse that I purchased from you!
