October 27, 2009 -- Oct 27, 2009 – ORLANDO – Electric Bear Studios’ award-winning animated children’s series Krysta’s Kingdom has been picked up by the Starfish Television Network. The series, which currently can be seen on Kids and Teens Television (KTV), will begin the additional showings on Starfish in December 2009.
“We are finding that people are hungry for wholesome, fun and educational shows for their children like those that they grew up on,” said Barbara Siragusa, vice president, Electric Bear Studios. “The Starfish Television Network is founded on the premise of giving organizations driven by a good cause a medium in which to speak. We couldn’t be a better match.”
The premise for Krysta’s Kingdom is the main character Krysta, played by Erin La Chance, is stranded on a magical, deserted island when Milo the hummingbird pops her hot air balloon. When she begins exploring the island she meets many friends, including Rudy the rubber duck, and Lady Liz the lady bug.
Not only is the TV series designed to be educational for viewers, but also the Web site features many resources for children and parents alike, including the Book Nook, a lab, spelling quizzes, cooking tips, and more.
